What You’ll Do

As a Day Program Group Facilitator, you'll guide a small group with confidence and care. You're someone who brings experience, empathy, and a true passion for supporting people of all ages with unique needs and abilities.

Our Day Program offers a range of groups, each with its own focus, from life skills to recreation and community involvement. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a flexible approach and a strong understanding of how to support individuals with a variety of strengths and support needs.

Who We Support

We support individuals of all ages, genders, and abilities, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds, as well as people who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or have low vision, or who live with intellectual, learning, or mental health disabilities.

Daily Support Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with daily living skills
  • Supervise and engage in day program activities
  • Administer medication according to Branches Day Program policy
  • Implement behavior support strategies
  • Plan and coordinate special events with other groups
Planning and Collaboration
  • Assess individuals skills and identify areas for development
  • Coordinate with social services and healthcare professionals
  • Help design support strategies and track their results
  • Maintain program records and statistics for evaluation and reporting
  • Support regular reviews to measure program effectiveness

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of study in a related subject (e.g., Developmental Service Worker, Community Service Worker, Psychology, ABA, Nursing, Criminology)
  • Or at least 1–2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities

Required Certifications & Documents:

  • Background Checks: Vulnerable Sector Check & Child Abuse Registry Check (Provided free of charge) (Link here) 
  • First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Valid G Driver’s License
  • Proof of auto insurance and a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation (public transit accessible in some locations)

Hiring Locations: Rockland, Ontario, Canada and/or Orleans, Ontario, Ottawa

Work Setting: Community-based day program setting working with individuals of all ages and abilities.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts 
  • Monday to Friday - Daytime
  • No weekends

Salary: $21.00–$23.00 per hour 

(Rate includes the permanent wage enhancement and is available for the duration of the applicable legislation.)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent.
