This March, we launched the Pot of Gold Contest, bringing plenty of energy, creativity, and participation across programs.
Teams worked through a list of activities — from watching the sunset to making fruit kebabs and visiting a library. Each activity carried specific point values, allowing teams to earn their way forward as tasks were completed. Along the way, we saw some great submissions and a wide range of creative approaches.
Congratulations to the winning program, and thank you to everyone who took part in making it such a fun and memorable experience.

This February, we launched the Random Acts of Kindness Contest, celebrating simple moments of care and connection across programs.
Teams earned points by completing thoughtful acts throughout the month, including baking and sharing treats, bringing coffee to friends, and exchanging Valentine’s Day gifts. Along the way, we saw countless heartwarming moments.
Congratulations to the winning program, and thank you to everyone who took part in spreading kindness.

This January, we launched our Try Something New Contest, encouraging programs to step outside routines and embrace fresh experiences. Participants explored new ideas and shared their journeys along the way.
Our programs truly delivered. Teams tried everything from donating books, going on museum trips, visiting Olympic Stadium, attending a game to watch Ottawa Black Bears, and countless more. By the end of the contest, three programs were selected as winners, but the real success went beyond prizes. Countless new experiences were had, connections were strengthened, and we saw firsthand how trying something new can make a difference.
It was inspiring to witness the creativity and enthusiasm of everyone involved. We’re proud of the participation and look forward to continuing the spirit of exploration and growth throughout the year.

Our Christmas Bingo Contest brought plenty of holiday fun and creativity. Programs searched their surroundings for items and activities on their bingo cards, snapping photos along the way and marking off each square as they went.
One program stood out by completing the most activities on the bingo card, earning the top spot in the contest. Their enthusiasm and commitment captured the spirit of the challenge.
Thank you to everyone who took part, shared photos, and joined in the fun. It was a joy to see the creativity and holiday spirit throughout the contest.
We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

Another Gnomie Challenge has come and gone, and once again, it didn’t disappoint!
Our favourite little gnome made his yearly return, encouraging teams to plan daring “missions” to sneak Gnomie away and proudly display their prize somewhere on their property.
There were plenty of failed heists and plenty of successful ones too! The contest brings out friendly competition, sparks creativity, teamwork, and just the right amount of mischief that everyone looks forward to each year.
Congratulations to this year’s winning program, and a big thank-you to everyone who joined in on the fun!

This month’s contest had our programs take on National Beach Day and they made the most of it. Sunshine, laughter, and plenty of sand between our toes made for the perfect celebration, but the best part was spending time together.
It was a wonderful way to mark their achievement, surrounded by community and summer fun. We’re grateful for days like these that bring everyone closer. Until next time!

To mark National Ice Cream Day on July 20th, we invited programs to take part in a fun contest—sharing how they celebrated the special day! The results were as sweet as they were creative! We saw colourful treats, happy faces, and lots of summer spirit. One standout celebration was randomly selected as this year’s winner. 🎉
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day so enjoyable. We loved seeing each program’s unique way of celebrating. Stay tuned—more fun contests are on the way!
